Welcome to the 2016 student election at the University of Bergen! This year’s election opens at 9am March 9 and closes at 12pm Thursday March 17.

The election is composed of three different ballots: one for the Student Parliament, and two for the University Board, as male and female candidates are elected separately to ensure that one candidate of each gender is elected.

To cast your votes you will have to click on the big yellow “vote here”-button which will redirect you to a secure website where you log in by entering your UiB username and password.

In the two elections for the University Board representatives you will have the opportunity to arrange the three male and female candidates, respectivly, in order of most preferred to least preferred. However, if you like you can choose only one of each gender or even decide to cast a “blank” vote if you find none of the candidates suitable. In the election for the Student Parliament you will have to vote for the one “list” (political party) which you prefer or cast a blank vote if you prefer none of the seven lists.

There are six candidates to the University Board:

Camilla Isabel Wetteland Kristiansen & Bendik Verlo Nes* (info in Norwegian)

* As two students are to be elected, some candidates chose to run in “pairs” i.e. they have a preferred co-representative and have a shared campaign and election manifesto. Other candidates run individually. However, you are free to vote for which ever male and female candidate you choose regardless of whether or not they are part of a shared campaign.
